Elder Michael O'Connor II - Scotland/Ireland Mission

July 11, 2017 Well........... Gezzz I don’t know what to say. Well the last day have been filled with so much Joy, Sorrow, Love, Sadness, and Peace. I have found out that I will be coming home in the next couple of days to get surgery on my knee....When I found out my heart dropped. Not cause I would be coming home, but because I can’t serve My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have learned so much in my short time out here. But I've learned that there is so much bigger than me. I am a tool for my Father to use and I said I would do whatever he wants me to do. That’s why when I am healed I will come back out and do the work of the Lord.  I am truly blessed to have my loving Family!! They have made all the good parts about me. I am so blessed with my amazing Elders and Sisters at the MTC. They have truly blessed me and I will always love them all. I also am blessed with the amazing President Bunker and Sister Bunker. I love them both so very much and am so blesse...

July 4, 2017 Oh my I love you mom and am so blessed that I could hear you and dads voice!!!!  I just want you to know I love you so much and say thank you for everyone who has been praying for me. It is really humbling! I'm just so thankful and love everyone who has done that. OK so small world. Elder Palmer who we share a room with, his cousin is Brielle Twede's companion right now serving in Spain!!!! Thank you to everyone who has emailed me. Its so nice to hear from them. This last week was pretty good! It was a fun week with loads of practice and loads of study!! The big thing this week was that we were being able to go to Manchester Square in the city and go street contacting!! People really don't like us (HAHA) but its chill, there loss!! I thought it went well. It was a nice little wake up call for me! It was a great experience of what is to come.  The nights here are kinda crazy!!! June 21, 2017 Hey I’m alive!!! Well its crazy hot out here!!! But it’s been really good. I’ve gotten really close with Elder Dawe and Elder Carlson. Today I have this call thing to do for the UK to decide if it is worth getting an MRI. It will be weird, but nothing to worry about. I have Faith in the Lord. I know that everything will be fine. June 19, 2017 Elder O'Connor was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by our Stake President, J. Ryan McMurtrey. Standing in the circle was Michael O'Connor, Bishop Joseph Hatch, Jerry Ibey and Justin Ibey. President gave him a beautiful blessing that will bless and prepare him to be an amazing missionary. June 20, 2017 We left the house at 8:00 am to depart to the SLC Airport for Elder O'Connor's 11:05am flight to Atlanta. Once we arrived we got him checked in and luggage weighed. After hours and hours and test weighing at home they were both "Heavy" at 51 pounds each. Oh well right?!? We then went over to get him a Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappiccino with extra caramel. He was so nervous that he only had a few drinks. We were met by Jerry Willis (Mikey's football coach and a dear friend who works for Homeland Security) It was great to visit with him and he will check with Mikey up at the gate for his momma. T...
