Change of plans

Well........... Gezzz I don’t know what to say.
Well the last day have been filled with so much Joy, Sorrow, Love, Sadness, and Peace. I have found out that I will be coming home in the next couple of days to get surgery on my knee....When I found out my heart dropped. Not cause I would be coming home, but because I can’t serve My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have learned so much in my short time out here. But I've learned that there is so much bigger than me. I am a tool for my Father to use and I said I would do whatever he wants me to do. That’s why when I am healed I will come back out and do the work of the Lord.

I am truly blessed to have my loving Family!! They have made all the good parts about me. I am so blessed with my amazing Elders and Sisters at the MTC. They have truly blessed me and I will always love them all. I also am blessed with the amazing President Bunker and Sister Bunker. I love them both so very much and am so blessed to have them.........

Right now I don’t know what is planned for me. But I know with all my heart that this church is Gods Church. It is the only true gospel we have on this earth. We have a living Prophet on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet, and through him the gospel was restored. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Every word of it is true. I know that Jesus is the Savior, and that through him I can live with God again.

I love this church, and I love you all. I will be back. I will serve my Father.

God bless you all.
Elder O’Connor

(Momma's Note: Our sweet Elder made it home safely. So very sad that he isn't at the Scotland/Ireland receiving his first area and trainer, but is eager for surgery and recovery to get back out where he knows the Lord wants him to be. The hardest part for him was watching the bus leave with all the missionaries going to Scotland without him. After his arrival home that was bittersweet, he spoke to us for four hours with excitement for all he has learned and those he learned with. In just three short weeks our young man turned into a man whose entire perspective of what this earth life is all about. He loves our Savior so very much and grateful to a loving Heavenly Father for all that he has blessed him with. He knows this trial will strengthen him and humble him more before the Lord to prepare him for this great work.

This is a portion of an email we received from President Bunker: Michael is a wonderful young man...in fact he is my friend who I love and trust completely.  I wish you could have seen him this morning as he helped tirelessly with luggage and being a positive influence on everyone else who were leaving.  Lots of tears were shed; lots of bonds and relationships were formed in a short time with missionaries who are leaving to serve all over the UK and Germany that he will continue to write and be in contact with. )
