Week 52: Golden friend, Baptism set, Forgiveness

January 14, 2019

Hello all,

Happy Birthday my best pal! I hope it was a great day and am excited that I will be with you next year.

aSo I will be staying with the ZL's the whole transfer and yes I am still driving hence why we are at the ZL's flat!

So this week was way sick we had 6 new friends we found!!!!!! We found 3 people on the street which was cool and then so at night we have been chapping and we chapped into a family of 3 and taught them! We are going back this week to teach them and another family that we found that were busy but wanted to hear!!! So its way fun!

But the best part of this week was about this guy named Jordan! So a little about him is he is from Aberdeen but lived in Australia for 10 years! He is 19 and is enlisting into the army! He met the ZL's last week and then this week they passed him over to us because he  is in our area! And wow! All the lessons we have had with him have just been amazing! It feels as if I am living a story that is written in the Ensign! So it’s just soo cool! He is by far the most prepared person I have taught on my mission! His date is on January 26th and is really solid for that day! The ward has been so good with helping us out with joint teaching and such so it’s nice!

My birthday was awesome besides the no Presents! hahah jk jk I hope to get them tomorrow because we have All Scotland North so I hope they bring them up!

Well I really do love you all. It’s crazy that the year has gone by so fast!!!! The time will just fly past faster now!!!! I love you and can’t believe I will see you in 1 year.

Love you,
Elder O’Connor

(This is an experience that Mikey had this past week that he shared with his dad)
I learned about forgiveness this week. So the ZL's went on exchanges this week with someone that was talking mess about me. It really made me mad. But so I was alone in a room just heated about it and was about to just call him out but I walked into the room to get a drink of water before I went in to confront him and I saw on one of the Elders desk the book, "Miracle of Forgiveness" and I just started to think a lot! I started to think about the life that you have had and that you have forgiven so many that have wronged you for much more then just this and I started to think about the judgment and being with our Heavenly Father and the scripture came to my mind of how can God forgive us if we don't forgive others! It just hit me! So I have forgiven him!  Wow I just love this Gospel dad it makes so much sense and it just brings me so much light and so I am so thankful for it!
