Transfers, Elder Jensen-New Comp, Garda Card Issue and Transfers-Part 2! (Week 33)

September 3, 2018

Hello all,

Well this week was a very crazy week! Like very crazy! Like soooo wild I am still trying to recover from it! To be honest it is very stressful but good!

Well so it starts with having to say goodbye to Elder Gowans! OH I love him so much! I had so much fun with him and I just hope we can be friends when I get home! Being with him though also made me miss you guys sooo much more then what I was which is a good and bad thing. I said goodbye to him and that was sad but cool I am so excited for him and all the others going home!

So they white washed the Zone Leaders here in Edinburgh so I was with Elder Brockbank helping him do moves calls before he left to Ireland.  So we did that and everything was going good but then comes Tuesday. We have meetings to prepare us to be trainers and after we have the prep meeting with the new missionaries that just arrived from the MTC. At around 4pm, President Macdonald comes in and tells us that they won’t be assigning anyone yet..... Ireland has been very hard to get into and to work in, so they were now having to take all missionaries out of Ireland if they did not have a Garda Card and bring all those who did into Ireland!!!!! (I wish I could have gotten my Garda Card! But oh well, I am looking at loop holes and things to try and get back!!)  So President had to re-do moves call – Part 2 and that was crazy. So pretty much all week I had people at my flat and I was driving missionaries to and from. By the way, driving here is actually really fun!

Tuesday night President called a special mission wide fast until Wednesday evening which was great to ask for the Lord’s help with all transfers. They canceled the New Leadership Training, so I will be winging it. By the end of Wednesday I got my missionary!!!! His name is Elder Jensen from Central Utah!!!!  So it’s all good! He is a nice guy and I’m excited to get to know him. I will be focusing on helping him to find and then teach and just trying my best to help him. I feel like I am doing really good with fulfilling both roles and I feel like I’m not to stressed either.

Oh I wanted to tell you that I got to pick up Elder Heggie from the airport and it was nice to talk with him. He told me that 3 people that I found and taught and worked really hard with have now been baptized!! The first one is Grace. She was baptized a few weeks after I left, then Venesa was baptized this last week and then another girl named Daneille. I am so excited for them. It honestly made my day. People don’t keep count of the ones who they found and taught that got baptized but with all of these ones I do because I worked by bum off to help them.

Well my week was crazy and I am very excited for next week to just get to work and grind!!!!!

I love you and hope you have a great week!!!
