Long and hard week (Week 31)

August 20, 2018

This week was a long week! We didn’t get to teach a whole lot because of the “Fringe” but we were out in the street a lot finding and not a whole lot of people stopped! It honestly was one of the worst finding weeks I have had on my mission but I am still doing just so well. Oh to sum up the week a dude tried to punch me!

I am having so much fun with Elder Gowans and just trying my best to do all I can. To be honest one of the things that brought me lots of joy this week was helping Elder Gowans get stuff ready to go home. Elder Gowans is so awesome and just makes everything the best, which makes everything fly bye.

So if you just look up Middle Meadow Walk on Google Maps and also Nicholson Street and George Square, then you can see pretty much all the areas we go.  I left my camera at home but I do have lots of pictures and videos I just haven’t had time to put them in my drive so I am sorry. Just know I am working on it. I just have lots to do.

So with the “Sheep Wrangling” on P-Day, we just went to a place with sheep and started to go after them and it became a thing.  This week we are going to this sweet beach and we will have a good time. To answer your question about us going to the “Military Tattoo”, there is no way of going because it’s at night, costs so much and you have to pre order the tickets! It will be so nice when it’s all over.

Moves call is crazy this transfer but I am excited for it. Hey remember Elder Christiansen from my first time in the MTC? Well he is the new AP now so its super cool having him up here in Edinburgh and being able to see him more. I hope that I will be able to stay in Edinburgh, it will be fun to find out!

I am reading a book and oh my I love it! I learn so many new things about the Atonement every time I open it up! Something that I liked in it was this line, It is talking about Jesus and his suffering and us with repentance. “ A person says when you go to Gethsemane and back”. I just really love that line. And so I know when we really do go to Gethsemane and back  that we truly understand  what it’s like to repent!

Just know I love you guys and hope you have a great week!!!!!!!

Love,
Elder O'Connor

Only one picture this week....but glad to see his smile!
