Linh's Baptism, Interview, & Fringe (Week 29)

Hello!

That is so crazy that you and dad are going to have your 30 year anniversary. When I look back I remember all of the ones me AJ and Kiki would plan and help with. It just is funny and great memories, so congrats!

This week sure was busy All Scotland South was so good and was actually one of the most spiritual conferences I have been too. I was able to bare my testimony in the conference and it felt so good and was a great meeting. We all had a chance to talk and make good comments in it as well. I felt the spirit very strong. The best part of the conference was the AP’s instruction to all of us. I also was able to see the rest of the people in my MTC group! Actually, Elder Palmer is the last on the list, but close enough. I will get to see him someday.

I also was able to have my very first interview with Pres. Macdonald and it was awesome. He really is such a nice guy, and I love him already. The Fringe just started and this is when it gets crazy here. The Fringe is a month long festival of art, music, musicals, dance, plays; everything. The population doubles for just this one month. It can be tough street contacting then because of all the visitors. They are not there to talk to us so it can be slow and that’s a bummer.

This week we had Linh’s BAPTISM! Oh my it was a crazy day. First the tank and water heater broke so we were pretty much at the church all day filling the font. Thankfully the Millers came by to say hello and let us go get lunch. The Millers are one of the couple missionaries. They are so sweet and kind to us and have us over for dinner every week! We had Elder Miller do the baptism for Linh which was so good and then had President Macdonald do her confirmation.

Last week was really tough but I worked really hard and was able to find some people. It was certainly a blessing. Elder Gowans and I continued to work hard everyday and did find some people to talk to and teach. Thank you for getting me the brace and all the treats, yeah it sure did feel like my birthday it was great. On P- day we actually made a video about finding the Lost Sheep, it is on my drive. (aka Sheep Wrangling) I promise I am doing really good taking care of my knee and being smart. It was so fun making the video. Hiking in the hills of Scotland is a dream and was great.

It’s really good being close to the mission home. Being near the office and President is such a blessing. I am looking forward to next week, it should be a great week. I love you so much and hope you have a great week.
