Elder Gowans goes home, Moves call, crazy week and lots of changes (Week 32)

August 27, 2018

Well hello all!

This week was a crazy one. To start off I just want to say how much I love Elder Gowans. He was a dream to be with! We had a load of fun together and I can’t wait to come home and be able to chill with him!! This week my main focus was just killing him off right, which means, letting him have the best week possible. Hopefully that happened! I am so excited for you guys to meet him!

Well this week was really good. We were finding for most of the week which was alright. We have some really cool people that we will teach this week so I am excited for it! Well I know you probably want to know my moves call?  So at around 10:40 in the morning on Saturday I got a call from President Macdonald telling me that I was going to be staying here in Edinburgh............ and that I will be the District Leader........... and that I will be Training someone.........!  Pretty crazy!!! This week will be very crazy! I will be in new leadership meetings as well as trainer meetings!!!! The whole day I will be picking missionaries up and dropping them off all day, so my email won’t be too long!!!!! But before I sign off I will tell you something cool that happened

So yesterday Elder Brockbank and I were at the church doing moves planning and I get a call from a guy that we are teaching. He is sooooo cool. So he calls and was talking to me talking about how he has a really bad family life which I knew because he told me that before. Then he said for years that he has felt like he has had NO mom and since he started meeting with us and praying he said that he and his mom have started talking and that Sunday he took her out for lunch and just said that he has his Mom back!!!!! And he knows that because of God and how Families are important to him that is why this has happened! It was soooo cool! I was over joyed! I really hope that this is what he needed to just get him to the next step! I just Love my Father in Heaven!!! He surely does have a Plan! I am so grateful to be a part of it all!!! He is good!

Love you and hope you have an amazing week!

Elder O'Connor

Forever friends! Saying goodbye for a time.

Visiting the Mission Office and treats of course.

 Tea with Sister Anne Harrison.

Not sure what this is, but we know that Elder O'Connor is still "Mikey"!

Since his knee injury, Mikey has become quite good and ping pong!

Some fun action shots of what street contacting looks like!
