Edinburgh, Street Contacting & Service (Week 28)
July 30, 2018
Hello all,
Well this week was a good one! Spent
lots of time in the streets talking with people and we are very happy about it!
This next week is the start of the Fringe, which is one of the biggest
festivals in the world! So to say the least it should be crazy, but we will
enjoy it! We are also excited about this
next week because we have a baptism for our friend Linh! I am so excited it’s
going to be amazing! We are so excited for her! We also are working with some
other people who I think could progress to it! So my fingers are crossed!
Here in Scotland it is a whole lot
different than it is in Dublin but it is a nice change! So many people here are
atheist which is sad, but it’s okay. The RC’s (Recent Converts) here are just so
amazing too!! I love them so much and they are just the best to us! The members
that I have met are really cool as well! They do such a good just taking care
of us in the ward. We get fed at least 3 times a week if not more!
I will tell you a little about the
places we go and who have been helping us out. Here are a few of them: There is
an older man named Jimmy. We go over to his house every week and do some things
for him! He is a very old man that lives alone but is so sweet and nice! Another
is Anne. She is a great lady and she loves us and just always wants to help the
missionaries. She is so sweet and we go to her house at least once a week. Then
there is this guy with a famous name, Paul Myles aka “Smoothie Myles”. He is an
old man that loves us missionaries and is just so funny and nice and buys us
food and things all the time!
But yeah this week is going to be
very busy! We have lots planned, plus Linh’s baptism and All-Scotland
Conference, so it will be very busy and I am very excited for it! To be honest
I am most excited about my interview with President Macdonald to talk with him
more!
I love you so much! I am almost half
way through the Book of Mormon again and I started reading a book called the
Infinite Atonement by Tad R. Callister and its good. I love you all and hope
you have a great week!
