Staying in Dublin, Goodbye to Valiati and New Companion
June 4, 2018
Oh my heck congrats mom on your new
job! I am so excited for you! I know you wanted it really bad! Hey you will be
able to see dad soooooo much more with being at Westlake for a year! That
is crazy!
Oh my, by the way I am staying in
Dublin! Staying in Finglas! It’s Crazy! I am one of few that have stayed for 4
transfers here, like I can count them on my hand!! Elder Valiati is leaving
down to Cork though which is a bummer, but I am very excited for him to get a
much needed break! I will be in this area for almost 6 months of my mission!!!
That will be pretty nuts!!! My new companion is supposed to be such a nice guy!
His name is Elder Heggie and he is from Canada! I am very excited to get to
know him more later today when he comes!!!
Okay answers to your questions:
1. How are your lessons going? Our
lessons are doing really good! I think we have some really good solid people!
It will be a bit difficult with some because of their English, BUT IT WILL BE
GOOD!!!
2. Are you teaching anyone that we
can pray for? Yes a guy named Thiago, Andre, and girl named Kaitlin.
3. With changes in move calls, who
is going where and who is in your district? Everyone is staying! We will have
one new Zone Leader, his name is Elder Peterson he is from Lehi, and he will be
taking Elder Turners spot!
4. How are YOU doing? I am doing
really good! I am sad Elder Valiati is leaving but I am excited about growing
up. I was first pretty bummed about my moves call because I thought I would be training
or leading and so at first I was disappointed but then like I just was cool with it! It
just isn’t my time yet! I need to learn more to be ready so it’s all good! Yeah I
am really so excited about my moves call now though, it will be a good one!!!
My most spiritual experience thus
far was probably a lesson I had with Elder Valiati!! We were teaching this girl
and I was telling her about the first vision. We tell her all about Joseph
Smith and it was so cool, that when I was telling her the story her face was
lighting up! Finally when I gave her the 1st vision story she looked like it
was so cool she loved everything. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she was
holding it like a baby! She accepted a date to be baptized so it was very cool!
The other experience was when Elder Valiati bore his testimony as he was
leaving. It was just great.
I am doing good and love my mission!
I miss people talking to me and I miss having a phone but it’s okay! I
love you guys and hope you have a good day!!
I love you,
Elder O’Connor
