Blizzard Week in Dublin…but still finding!
Yes, what an eventful week! We
started out the week so strong!!! Our goal this week was to find new solid
investigators and it was so hard because of the storm and no one was outside
and wanted to talk. So it wasn't the best week, but then as we look back we got
11 new solid investigators so we had like a killer week! So just imagine if
we had a full week of work.
But yes as you know Storm Emma hit, and it was such
a lame storm!!!!!! It really wasn’t that bad! Here they have ZERO snow removal
so the snow just piled up which made it seem worse then what it was!!! But yes
we had to stay in the flat for 2 days!!! But thankfully through, those days we
were able to go out and teach! There was a Subway open like right by our flat
and people still wanted to meet with us so we actually didn't have too much of
a day off!! After all the storm was gone we were back out in the streets doing
the work and teaching!!
We taught tons of lessons and just had a good week!
This upcoming week could be so big though! Elder Valiati and I could have potentially
3 people baptized! It is so crazy we really pray that everything goes to
plan!!!
But yes this week really has been a humbling week! With us teaching a
lot of people where English is their 2nd language, it can be really hard for me
to teach them. I’ve felt bummed out by not really being able to help
them the way I want to, and so this week I have really had to rely on the Lord
and just let Him take over. But through this humbling week, I really have had
to get on my knees and ask for help by being out here. To be honest it’s amazing
I really have been able to gain a closer relationship with my Father in Heaven!
I know that He has a plan in store for me and that with every day and with
every experience it is preparing me for that Plan! I just need to Learn
and be Humble and be Worthy and ready for it!! Coach Clements always
said "Be in the RIGHT place, at the RIGHT time, doing the RIGHT
thing." And I know if I am doing that all will be well!
I love you all and
miss you so much!!! Just know that I am loving every second of it in the mission field!!!
Love,
Elder O'Connor
