Week two in the MTC....City and Church History Tour
January 30, 2018
I LOVE YOU GUYS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!
I am happy I am here and not there!! I
have tons of pics I am just trying to figure out how to send them all so I am
sorry!!!
K to answer your questions!!!
How was your flight and travel to
England? The Flights were good!!! We cut the last flight to Manchester pretty
close! But it was super chill! The landing into Manchester City was a bit
rough!!! Thank heavens I had my seat belt on!! I didn’t even watch a movie on
either of the flights so I am super proud of myself!!
How was your arrival to the MTC
and seeing everyone again? It was super cool!! I saw Sister Bunker first and
she gave me a big hug! Then we had an opening meeting and President Bunker wasn’t
there. But then when he walked in he said "where’s Elder Michael Patrick
O'Connor" And we hugged for a long while and it was just amazing!! He sort
of told a little of my story not a whole lot. Just that I was there and now I
am back! But yeah I just Love them both soooo Much!!!
Tell us a little about your
companion and your district? Ok my Companion
is Elder Von Mollendorff. He is from South Africa!!! He and I are pretty
different but he is honestly the best!!! I love the guy so much!! We are
perfect for each other I think!! We have gotten a long really well! I make him
laugh so much!!! He is awesome! I am feeling a lot better then what I was
feeling at the start!!! I put too much pressure on just everything that it had
to be the same as last time!! Which it isn’t! So that’s what really killed me
at the start because it was just different! President Bunker helped me through
it and I am doing really good now!!
How are you doing being district
leader? Umm being District Leader is really humbling! I haven’t ever prayed so
much for help and for guidance in my life! I have always loved my district. I’m
not doing a lot of the leading, the Lord
is doing most of the work!! I’m just being the mouth piece for Him!
Are there any missionaries that you
have connected with? Yes so all the girls in my District I get along with!!
They are all amazing!!! Their names are Sister Duke, Sister Westbroek, Sister
Peterson, Sister Neilson. They make things super easy for me because they are
just awesome!! Then there is an Elder Toly from Canada that I have gotten close
with and then there is a bunch more! Like there is a ton of German Mission Elders
that are here and that I get along with!!! So I have made some good
friends!!!
How is your knee feeling? My knee is
beautiful!!! I’ve truly been blessed!!!
Well the pictures are on the way!!
Some of them I really like!! I just want you to know that I know that my Savior
lives! He atoned for our sins, so we can return to The Father again! God loves
us so much that He has made a plan for us to return to Him again!! Life has its
ups and downs, but God and Jesus will always be the constant! No matter how far
down you get, you can come back up. In life everyone suffers, but suffering in
life is mandatory. It’s your choose to have misery or get back up. That is what
I did the past 6 months! I suffered, but never gave up because I knew without a
shadow of a doubt that there is a plan for me. I am My Fathers servant! I’ll go
where ever He wants me to go, and I’ll do whatever He wants me do. In the great
words of Han Solo "It’s all true".
Love you all and have a great week!
Sorry there’s not a lot to talk about, but there will be next week!!
Love,
Elder O’Connor
